U4GM - What Fallout 76 Items Are Completely Useless?

Fallout 76 is packed with countless items, but not all of them serve a meaningful purpose. Whether you're a veteran or a new player, knowing which FO76 items are worthless can save you stash space and time. Here’s a look at some of the most useless Fallout 76 items you can safely ignore or scrap.

1. Broken Weapons and Armor

Some Fallout 76 items, like broken weapons and armor, are purely junk. They can’t be repaired or used and only exist to be scrapped for basic materials. If you find a "Damaged" or "Broken" item, don’t hesitate to break it down.

2. Excessive Notes and Holotapes

While some holotapes contain lore or quest triggers, many serve no purpose after being read. Notes like "Thank You for Your Purchase" or duplicate holotapes just clutter your inventory. Unless you’re a collector, these FO76 items can be safely dropped.

3. Low-Tier Ammo

Certain ammunition types, like the 5mm round for the Broadsider or the syringer ammo, are rarely useful. Many players avoid weapons that use these, making the ammo nearly worthless. Unless you specifically need them, they’re just dead weight.

4. Common Junk with No Value

Items like spoiled vegetables, burnt books, or undamaged desk fans are abundant but offer little in return when scrapped. They take up space without providing rare materials, making them some of the least useful Fallout 76 items.

5. Useless Quest Items

Some quest-related FO76 items remain in your inventory even after completing their purpose. Items like the "Waterlogged Note" or "Mysterious Component" often have no further use but can’t be dropped. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with them unless Bethesda removes them in a future update.

6. Obsolete Keys

Keys for locations you’ve already cleared, such as "Tygart Water Plant Key," serve no purpose afterward. Unlike keys in other games, these don’t respawn or unlock new content, so they’re just taking up space.

7. Outdated Event Items

Some event rewards, like "Claim Tokens" from "Project Paradise," become useless once the event ends. If you can’t exchange them for anything valuable, they’re better off discarded.

While some Fallout 76 items might seem useful at first glance, many are just inventory fillers. By identifying and removing these worthless FO76 items, you can keep your stash organized and focus on collecting what truly matters. Always check before hoarding—sometimes, less is more in the wasteland!
